Founder and CEO: David S. Suah
David Sargbeh Suah’s personal experience with poverty inspired him to dedicate his life to lifting others. Born in Shadee Town, Liberia, he witnessed firsthand the challenges that lack of food, education, and opportunity create in rural communities. After 18 years in the United States, where he earned an MBA with a focus on Banking and Finance from Wilmington University, Suah returned to Liberia determined to make a difference.
Leaving his role as Comptroller at the Ministry of Agriculture, he founded Citizens Against Poverty (CAP) in 2014. Through CAP, Suah has established the largest commercial farm in Sinoe County, producing rice, cassava, and vegetables on a large scale. Beyond agriculture, he has revitalized schools, founded youth sports teams, and promoted community development initiatives that provide education and opportunity for children and families.
His leadership philosophy is rooted in partnership, empowerment, and practical solutions—believing that communities flourish when people are given the tools and knowledge to succeed. Suah continues to combine his expertise in finance, agriculture, and community mobilization to ensure CAP creates lasting impact.
